Dr. Michel Gagner is internationally renowned as a pioneer in laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, bariatric surgery. He is known for his contributions in the field of minimally invasive surgery, in particular the first description of laparoscopic adrenalectomy for Cushing syndrome and pheochromocytoma, laparoscopic pancreatectomy (distal and proximal), endoscopic neck surgery with parathyroidectomy, transgastric cholecystectomy, laparoscopic duodenal switch for obesity and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

Dr. Farid Gharagozloo is at the forefront of today’s advancements in robotic-assisted thoracic surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches for benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) esophageal disorders and advanced thoracic malignancies. As a leading expert in his field, Prof. Gharagozloo has pioneered multiple surgical techniques and tools.

Dr. Alan D.L. Sihoe

Topic: Editorial lessons from minimally invasive thoracic surgery.
Dr. Sihoe is now an internationally recognized expert and advocate of “next generation” minimally invasive thoracic surgery techniques – especially uniportal and needlescopic chest surgery. He is a frequent Invited Lecturer and Faculty member at conferences and surgical education events throughout Asia, Europe and North America, and has won or been short-listed for multiple awards in thoracic surgery and clinical research.
